2018-2021
I started participating in SMILE (Science and Math Investigative Learning Experience) my sophomore year. SMILE is a pre-college science, technology, engineering, and math-based after-school program run through the University of Rhode Island. In SMILE I got to help design and build monthly projects that combined art, design, and communication to find creative and innovative solutions in a variety of problems. As a member of SMILE I participated in an annual event at the University of Rhode Island where we work with URI students and professors to apply a variety of STEM topics to a central project.
